SITE SURVEY 1   Generic quantitative risk assessment

This is required if a site is known to require an inspection by a consultant due to a number of reasons related to past use.
The assessment will include: 

• Review of all site information to date
• Site visit to BS10175 for inspection of contamination sources, pathways and receptors to UK Government guidelines.
• Up to 4 samples for a full contaminated land screening analysis
• Risk assessment report to UK Government specification CLR11

 

Please note however, UK Government risk assessment guidance encourages a flexible ‘suitable for use’ approach to contaminated land investigation by progressing (if needed) through a series of increasingly more intensive site assessments.

Therefore, as we endeavour to assess your site as professionally, economically and quickly as possible by both acting on previous investigations and linking to future possible investigations, if the Desk Top Study suggested you need to progress to a Site Survey 2, Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment, we would discuss this with you in order to save you the cost and time of unnecessary work.
